It's Midwestgirl84! How is everyone doing? Hey, Some, of you may have gone to my regular Midwestgirl84 Channel, and that's great. I just wanted to do this blog channel as well, because I really needed to express this part of my life my faith. There are two reasons that I made this blog site: 1, because I want to witness to people about my faith, and 2, there are people who are my friends, and it makes it difficult to be friends when we are constantly butting heads. I believe it is maybe this way so my friends can have time to decide to make a commitment to Christ in their own time and way. well . . thanks for listening

Hi there . . I'm Midwestgirl84
I wanted to create this blog site so that, not only could I strengthen my own faith and those of my fellow Christians, but I mainly wanted to create this site as a way to reach out to people who may have never known how they could have a relationship with God, and maybe never even known how wonderful it will be to have one. Sometimes life can be so hard, or so confusing, or just so . . not seeming to point to God for the answer.
People look at Christians online as some sort of old system of outdated morals, hypocritical people, and an excuse to judge others without looking at ourselves. On top of all that, people say that we are stupid and that what we believe doesn't make sense and is not logical or scientifically accurrate, and that it is slowing the growth of society and making biases and bigotry as well as hatred war, disease and mental illness take place in our society. Is this true? Is God a disease? Is God even worth taking the time to think about? And who is God? Which one is the real one? Is it Allah or Buddah or Yahweh or Jesus? And how do you know you are saved and going to heaven? And then what? What then? These are all questions that all believers have struggled with, believe it or not, before they came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the "way the truth and the life." No one can come to the Father except through Him.
"For God so Loved the World that He Gave His one and only Son that Whoever Believes in Him shall not Perish but have Everlasting Life." . .. . . Whoever believes!
Doesn't matter who you are . . where you come from . . whether you are a murderer, whether you are angry, whether you are depressed and sad, whether you are mean and prideful, vain and full of yourself, whether you have a trillion friends or maybe you have a trillion enemies and not a friend in the world, - Doesn't matter ! Jesus is standing at the Door or your heart this very moment and knocking, waiting to come in. It has always been God's plan for you to know him, as a Father knows His child.
If you want to be saved from sin and know for a fact that you are going to Heaven . . . then all you have to do is tell God that you believe in Jesus, God's son, who came to earth. Even though Jesus is called the Son of God, Jesus is described as the Word of God that was made flesh and walked among us. Jesus is God, The Heavenly Father is God, the Holy Spirit is God. It is a Holy Trinity 3 in 1.
I don't quite understand all of it either myself. I have been a believer since I was 5 years old. When I was 5, I asked my parents how to be saved, but they told me I was too young . . . I repeatedly asked them . . but they refused to tell me. One night when I was 5 years old, I went to my window the way Daniel used to do and I moved my head up so I was speaking up to God, who I assumed was above me . . . but no matter either way . . I believed He could here me no matter where He was . . . Then, on my knees, I tilted my head up and spoke out loud. I said something like" God, I'm really scared because my parents will not tell me how to be saved! I am afraid that if I die tomorrow or before they tell me, then I will not go to Heaven." I told God, "I don't want to go to Hell! I am so scared!" I said"God please don't leave me! please help me to get to heaven . . to know how to get to heaven!" then I stopped in my scared cryings, and I said, " God, I believe that you created the world, and I believe that the Bible is true, becuase You wrote the Bible, and I believe that Jesus died for me, because the Bible says so, and I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that Jesus is God." and I said, "please Jesus please take me to heaven, don't leave me here! Thank you for dying on the cross for me. I believe that you died on the cross for me end that you are God and that becasue you died on the cross, my sins are forgiven, all I have to do is believe .. and I do believe. Please show me if I need to do more! "
Then I was exhausted. I went to bed. My life was never the same.
If you're thinking I was not a typical 5 year old, you're right. First of all I was already reading well beyond my age group, secondly, I loved to think about existance and philosophy even at a young age, and finally, I lived in a dangerous neighborbood, where the constant noise of gunshot almost every night put in my very young mind the truth that life is a precious gift, and any day could be our last. Also, I was lonely then. My dad and mom both were heavy drinkers. My two brothers did not play with me much, since I was the only girl, and the most definint thing in my life . . my mother . . who I would only come to realize in my twenties that she was mentally unstable so much so that she had tortured my existance phsycologically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and other ways I cannot mention, but that I was in constant denial until after I got out of the house at 21. On top of all this, my father was an aspiring minister, so I assumed that if I did not deserve the constant punnishments and humiliations that I constantly endured every day of my childhood, he would have done something. Now I realize, there is a difference between Religion and Faith, and there is a difference between walking the walk and talkin the talk
. . . To put things in perspective . . I am now 25 . . It has only been about 4 years that I have lived among people who do not constantly abuse me . . . I am Grateful to God for the much needed rescue, and honestly I am forcing myself to strive to be thankful for all the hard times too.
ALL I CAN ASK OF YOU IS THAT YOU WORK WITH ME TO FIND COMMON GROUND ABOUT GOD AND SALVATION. I AM NOT THE LEAST BIT PERFECT MYSELF, AND I BELIEVE THIS IS HOW GOD CAN WORK THROUGH ME RIGHT NOW. IF GOING THROUGH ALL THAT PAIN WILL SAVE A SOUL, I WILL BE GLAD FOR THE PAIN . . . NOT SURE THAT I WOULD OPT FOR IT AGAIN, BUT . . BE GLAD FOR IT.
If you have questions about Jesus, please ask rather than go away. If you think that you might freak me out or be too angry, believe me . . after what I've been through, there's not a whole lot to stuff that can scare me. Hey . . you haven't even heard the bad stuff I've done, so don't start thinking that you are far away from God. Personally, I believe that God is there even more for people who need Him the most. And personally I KNOW that God is with you even as you are reading this blog. He created you and has always been there for you if you will just open your eyes! My heart goes out to everyone who does not know Jesus yet! I have so many friends that I tried to tell about Jesus, but I gave up because I couldn't figure out why my life seemed more messed up than theirs. I feel so led to do this blog, and part of the reason is because now I'm not afraid anymore. If the world tears me apart for talking about Jesus, there's really nothing they can do to me, and all it will show is how strong my faith is in Him.
What people think is crazy about me is that my life is still bumpy to say the least . . . but I can never go back to life without God, because now that I know He's here beside me always, I can't just go into denial and try to force myself to not believe in Him again . . .
Through my weakness, He is stronger!
